Clare’s Vet Group, one of Northern Ireland’s leading Veterinary Hospitals has 13 fabulous walkers and runners taking on the challenge of the Belfast City Marathon on Sunday 5th May 2024.
They also held a fantastic coffee morning on Monday 22nd April at their Ballyclare Hospital to help with their fundraising endeavours. You can make a donation here to support their effort.
Let’s meet a few of their pawsome athletes…
Clinical Directors, Martin who regularly takes part in local Parkruns with his sons (who apparently are a bit quicker than him) has been doing some steady training for his leg.
Next up is Paula and Kathryn, who are receptionists by day, runners by night. They have been going for post work runs in the evening after a long shift in Ballyclare, well done to you both.
Vets Emma & Rachel also deserve a shout out for being so dedicated with their training, especially after a long 9am-7pm shift.
Jennifer and Dale are two more of the marathon relay team. You will see Jennifer on reception in both Ballyclare and the Whiteabbey branch. She has been dedicated with her training, going for runs after her days on reception! While Dale is one of Clare Vet Group’s newly qualified veterinary nurses. She is a keen runner and is also taking part in the Lisbon marathon this October.
Niamh, their lovely Carrickfergus receptionist is also taking part in the relay team and has also been doing some beach running!
Finally, Hannah and Jenni, two of the Clare Vet’s Group nurses, are taking part in the Belfast Marathon walking 8 miles. They have been pounding the pavements to get ready for their challenge.
Good luck to all the walkers and runners from Clare’s Vets Group!
