Thank you Hotel Chocolat

Rosie’s Trust is delighted to have the support of Hotel Chocolat Café in Belfast and we recently caught up with Fiona to thank Hotel Chocolat Café, their staff and customers for their recent donation of over £200.

We asked Fiona, why they had chosen to support the work of Rosie’s Trust…

‘As a company there’s a chosen charity each year for Hotel Chocolat. However, as we aren’t on the mainland where the majority of these charities are, we like to keep our choices local and be of help to Northern Ireland charities that can often get overlooked as they’re smaller.

We’re all animal lovers in store and as a dog friendly establishment, we love seeing our canine friends and having new doggy visitors.

This obviously can mean a lot to some customers as well, getting to come in for a coffee and not have to leave their companion behind.

Susan, one of our colleagues lives in Groomsport, so knows of Rosie’s Trust and suggested it as our next charity which we all loved the idea of and felt it was a nice connection to promoting our dog friendliness in store.

We of course have also experienced personal losses individually and a pet is such a strong emotional and mental support, we really want to promote Rosie’s Trust for providing these amazing services to people who need their pets.

Our customers have really been captivated and impressed by Rosie’s Trust and what they do.

A lot of people have taken leaflets and asked further about it after reading the basic gist of what Rosie’s Trust provides to people.

We have a lot of families and a lot of older customers and if they haven’t taken the leaflet for themselves, they’re asking on behalf of someone it could be useful for.

Customers have been extremely generous with their donations and pop in a few coins as they’re waiting for their drinks and so many of them contribute daily as they think it’s a great cause.”

Thank you again to Fiona and the whole team at Hotel Chocolat, Cafe – it is now a firm favourite amongst the Rosie’s Trust team. If you are heading in to Belfast with your companion pet make sure to call in for a coffee (and a dog treat!).
