Northern Area Community Network (NACN) has recently launched a new initiative to provide support for adults who have experienced the loss of a beloved pet. The Pet Bereavement Support Group aims to create a safe space for individuals to come together and find solace in the company of others who have gone through similar experiences.
The group will be holding its first meeting on Friday, September 1st, from 7pm to 8.30pm at Houston’s Mill in Broughshane. This inaugural gathering will serve as an opportunity for participants to connect with one another and share their stories of pet loss. The aim is to provide a supportive environment where individuals can openly express their grief and find comfort in the understanding and empathy of others.
To ensure a smooth and organised event, NACN is kindly requesting interested individuals to register their attendance in advance.
Registration can be done through the NACN website at https://nacn.org/wp/register/
For any inquiries or further information, Hannah can be contacted via email at spdo@nacn.org
The loss of a pet can be a deeply emotional and challenging experience, and it is often underestimated by those who have not gone through it themselves. The Pet Bereavement Support Group recognises the importance of acknowledging and processing this grief, and aims to provide a space where individuals can find solace and support.
NACN is a community-focused organisation that strives to address the needs of individuals in the Northern Area. By creating this support group, they are demonstrating their commitment to the well-being of the community and their understanding of the unique challenges that come with pet loss.
If you or someone you know has experienced the loss of a pet and could benefit from the support of others who have gone through a similar experience, consider attending the Pet Bereavement Support Group’s first meeting.
