National Pet Month: Chatting to our volunteer Lynda Crozier

This week for National Pet Month, we got chatting to Lynda, a dedicated and lovely volunteer, who has been with us for 5 years now!

Read on to find out more about Lynda’s volunteer journey with us, and to read about what pet ownership means to her…

Tell us more about your volunteer experience with Rosie’s Trust — when did you join as a volunteer, and why?

During my 5 years with Rosie’s Trust, I’ve been involved in various roles: canine support including dog walking, vet visits and fostering transport, admin, phone support, volunteer coordinator, RT promotion, helping at fundraising events.

There really is a role for anyone!

Tell us about your own pets!

Peter (hubby and occasional RT handyman) and I have 3 dogs: Copper 12, a Pointer/Springer/Lab mix. Jack 10, a collie/flat coat cross. Bonnie 3, a red & white Collie.

Our dogs are always from a rescue/re-home background, something we care very much about.

Peter, Jack and Bonnie love agility. Copper, Jack & I enjoy Scentwork. We are all looking forward to getting back to training classes and competitions.

What does being a pet owner mean to you?

Each and every dog we own is a family member. They give us so much company, love and a reason to get out in the fresh air for exercise.

Lockdown was made so much easier by having them in our lives.

Thanks so much to Lynda for always being there as a volunteer and as a friend of Rosie’s Trust, and for being such great chat too!
