Rosie’s Trust would like to take this opportunity to thank the Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland for its generous grant of £5,000.
Our Halifax Foundation grant will be put to good use, supporting the ongoing training and equipment needs of our amazing team of dedicated Rosie’s Trust volunteers.
Rosie’s Trust volunteers are at the heart of our work, keeping some of the most vulnerable people in our local communities together with their beloved companion pets.
This grant will ensure our volunteers continue to have the equipment they need to support our human and pet beneficiaries as well gaining new skills through training and being recognised for the huge difference they make to people and their pets.
The Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland is committed to supporting underfunded, grassroots charities that enable people, especially disabled and disadvantaged people, to play a fuller role in society.
Rosie’s Trust volunteers are supporting vulnerable people 365 days a year, in a variety of roles, primarily supporting people to look after their companion pet. This can include exercising, playing, feeding and administering medication for a companion pet as well as providing life enhancing companionship to our human beneficiaries, helping to reduce social isolation.
