We are delighted to announce our new Charity of the Year partnership with Belfast City Sightseeing.
Aileen Martin, Rosie’s Trust – Chairperson, said: ‘We are so pleased that Belfast City Sightseeing have chosen to support Rosie’s Trust. We were excited to join them as they kicked off the partnership with a coffee morning at their city centre tour shop, where we chatted about the importance of pets and the difference they can make to a person’s life.’
Paul Cunningham, director of Belfast City Sightseeing said: ‘We are delighted to be partnering with Rosie’s Trust. Many of our staff and passengers are pet owners and know that pets are an important part of the family. More and more of our passengers are bringing their pets on holiday and we are pleased that all of our Belfast City Sightseeing Tour buses are dog friendly.
We were shocked to learn that people often delay or refuse treatment because they are so worried about what would happen to their beloved companion pet while they were in hospital and that older people often face the heart-wrenching decision to give up a pet because they can no longer walk them.”
Our volunteers Olivia and Kim, together with our Volunteer Support Officer, Sandra joined the team at Belfast City Sightseeing for their coffee morning and talked about the work of our volunteer teams to help keep people and their pets together, especially when they need each other the most.
